Rental Assistance Program (RAP)
Provides move-in assistance, security deposits, and/or first month's rent for those who are homeless. Assists households with delinquent rent payments to stop eviction.

Application process
The application process will be an appointment-based process. To obtain a rental assistance appointment, individuals should call the HELP Ministries office at 717-238-2851 from 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday. They will be asked screening questions to determine if they are qualified to apply (see attached). If they are qualified to apply, they will be scheduled for an appointment and given a list of documents they must bring along to their appointment for us to determine if they are eligible for assistance. Eligibility
To qualify for RAP you must: A) Be a resident of Dauphin County B) Be homeless OR have a court-ordered eviction notice C) Have a written agreement with the landlord to rent to you (move-in assistance) D) Provide proof of sufficient income to cover rent and other basic living expenses E) Have verification of all household income for the past 30 – 90 days F) Have received all the Emergency Shelter Allowance (ESA) funds from the County Assistance Office which you are entitled to receive
