Description

Provides lactation support, education, advocacy, and outreach to Black women in Allegheny County. A team of Certified Lactation Counselors (CLCs) help African American mothers with their breastfeeding needs and questions via on-call support in-home, virtually, or by telephone triage, free of charge. Also offers education courses such as Breastfeeding 101.

Provides information and referrals to families for community-based health and social services with emphasis on prenatal care, low birthweight infants, family planning, and other support services that assist in the reduction of infant mortality.
