The Internet Based Parenting Education program consists of two different approaches to reach parents who cannot come in to attend the programs we hold at our site. The first is live online educational workshops in which parents attend the program in a virtual meeting room in live time. There is a mix of formal presentation, interactive exercises and opportunities for parents to share their stories and ask questions. The second type of program consists of "on demand articles" which are placed on our website and available to parents whenever they have the time or need to address certain issues. These articles, either audio-based narrated power points or text only, are short (5 to 10 minutes) and cover challenges that parents face as they raise their children. The advantage of these programs is that parents can attend/learn the information from the comfort of their own homes, accommodating their hectic schedules, and without having to consider child-care needs
