Eligibility

City of Pittsburgh residents Early Head Start serves children from pregnancy to 36 months. Head Start programs & Pre-K Counts serves children from age 3 to 5 years old. Early Intervention for Children with Disabilities/Delays is available for children from birth through age 5.

Phones are answered Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm all year long.

Application process

Application required for student acceptance into the program. The application can be downloaded from the intake website, or call or email to request a paper copy sent by mail.

Fees

The fee for the Early Childhood Program is $650/month. Depending on income, some applicants may qualify for a Head Start or State funded scholarship.
