Representation at PFA Hearings is provided free of charge, regardless of income. Fees vary for ongoing/additional legal services; sliding scale and pro bono (free of charge) eligibility determined during consultation.

Provides legal services for individuals and families experiencing domestic/intimate partner violence, child abuse, elder/adult dependent abuse. Assists in obtaining restraining orders (Protection From Abuse orders, also called PFAs).

Providing organization

Summit Legal Aid
Provides free civil legal assistance, including advice and representation to low-income residents of ten counties in Western Pennsylvania. Practice areas include family, housing, and economic matters. Also represents petitioners in protection from abuse proceedings without regard to income.
