Eligibility

First-time homebuyer education classes are open to anyone interested in learning about the homebuying process; must meet eligibility requirements for down payment and closing cost assistance. Pre-purchase counseling and/or education is a requirement of the program

Fees

Non-refundable tuition fee-$55 due at registration for each person expected to complete the in person course. For eHome Web base learning the Non-refundable fee is $100 for each person.

Provides classroom training and eligible participants may qualify for a down payment and closing cost loan to purchase their first home. Their in-person or Web base Classes are offered in both English and Spanish. Visit their website or call for a schedule. Classes are provided in their in-person and eHome web base platform.   • What lenders expect from borrowers
  • Understanding real estate terms
  • Roles of the real estate agent
  • Finding a home you can afford
  • Financial planning and money management
  • Maintaining your new home
  • Predatory lending
Provides web learning platform called eHome America for convenience to their clients. Classes are offered in English and Spanish Eligible participants may also qualify for a Home Buyer Loan for closing costs:
  • CHB Loans at 0% interest with no monthly payments
  • Repayment is due on sale or refinancing of the home or if the home is no longer the buyer's primary residence
  • Funds are subject to availability
