For Case Management: Children ages 0-18 who live in Lancaster County and have an incarcerated parent. For Parenting Inside Out: Parents incarcerated at Lancaster County Prison who apply for the classes and meet general eligibility, in terms of length of stay, etc.

Description

Identifies, supports and advocates for the unique needs and rights of children with incarcerated parents, moving past trauma to create futures of promise. Advocate will meet with the children and the caregiver to determine the child's needs and make the necessary referrals to community supports. The children and their caregivers will be supported in maintaining a connection with the incarcerated parent whenever possible. Also meets with the incarcerated parent, and offers Parenting Inside Out classes at Lancaster County Prison.
