Eligibility
For homelessness prevention, family or individual must be under 30% of
the annual median income, eviction must be within 14 days of the
issued date, and/or a utility shut off notice. For rapid re-housing,
income does not apply and the family or individual must be considered
literally homeless.

The ESG is broken down into two sections: Rapid Re-housing and Homelessness Prevention. This program provides rental assistance for eligible individuals/families when facing eviction and provides rapid re-housing for individuals/families who are literally homeless. This program runs on an 18-month cycle with renewals.
