Individuals with developmental disabilities. Lives independently or at home with family. Residents of Clinton, Columbia, Lycoming, Montour, Snyder, and Union Counties.

Call for intake. Referrals can also be made through the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, school district, BLAST IU #17, and community organizations. All referrals must meet eligiblity standards and licensing requirements.

Developmental Disabilities

Description

Provides training and assistance to people with developmental disabilities who live independetly or at home with their families. Staff teach cooking and laundry skills, writing, personal hygiene, decision making, and money management. Staff may also take the individual out for activities such as shopping, recreational activities, and to doctor's appointments. In-home staff will follow up with therapeutic exercises if recommended by the physician, physical therapist, or occupational therapist.
