Pennsylvania Department of Military and Veteran Affairs - Women Veteran's Call Center

Provides a single avenue for women Veterans to get the help they need. Functions include monitoring and coordinating the VA’s administration of health care and benefits services and programs for women Veterans, serve as an advocate for a cultural transformation (both within VA and in the general public) in recognizing the service and contributions of women Veterans and women in the military, and to raise awareness of the responsibility to treat women Veterans with dignity and respect.

Application process

Apply for VA benefits at the Local Regional Offices: VA regional offices can assist with filing the appropriate VA forms. Also, to apply for a specific benefit, visit Applying for Benefits. In addition, VSO's (Veteran Service Organizations) can assist indiviudals as well by answering general questions and even petitioning on their behalf for services they believe they are qualified to receive.

Must be a veteran; veteran's dependent; surviving spouse, child or parent of a deceased veteran; uniformed service member; present or former reservist or National Guard member.

Provides resources and assistance to Pennsylvania's one million veterans and their families, and provides care for aging and disabled veterans. Also prepares and deploys the Pennsylvania National Guard for worldwide combat and combat support operations and provides trained personnel to state and local authorities in times of natural disaster or civil strife. Provides financial assistance, in the form of grants, to eligible Pennsylvania service members and their eligible family members through the Pennsylvania Military Family Relief Assistance Program (PA MFRAP). Offers its veterans six extended care facilities throughout the state. The level of care provided includes personal care, skilled nursing care, domicilliary care, and dementia care. These facilities offer qualified veterans and their spouses dedicated, superior care.
