Pennsylvanians can apply for LIHEAP: A) Online through the intake website, B) Through the COMPASS app on a smart phone or tablet, or C) With a paper application (available on the website and at County Assistance Offices); return by mail or in person. On-site services are available at County Assistance Offices for those who cannot access the online application or who need assistance with the application.
Service is provided free of charge. LIHEAP funding is a grant and does not need to be repaid.

Description
Provides grants to families living on low incomes to pay their heating bills. The grant is a one-time payment sent directly to the utility company/fuel provider. These grants range from $200 to $1,000 based on household size, income, and fuel type. Households without heat or in immediate danger of being without heat may also qualify for crisis grants in addition to the LIHEAP Cash Grants.
