Family Promise - Emergency Shelter for Families with Children

Family Promise

Provides emergency shelter, meals, and social services to homeless families with children through a partnership with area congregations. Families stay at the day center and transportation is provided to and from a host congregation for the evening meal and sleeping accommodations. Congregation volunteers provide the evening meal and safe private sleeping areas to the families at their host site. Families receive intensive, client centered case management with the focus on housing stability, health and wellness, education services for adults and children, employment counseling, financial literacy as well as linkage to community resources, and entitlement benefits.
