We help our communities prepare for, manage through, and recover from any type of natural disaster, security threat, and emergent situation. Wayne County is located in the Northeast corner of Pennsylvania. Wayne County is made up of 28 local municipalities, 22 townships of the second class and 6 boroughs. Wayne County is governed by a board of three county commissioners elected every four years by the voters. The Board of Commissioners oversees the entire operation of the county and represents the best interests of the citizens.
