Provides current information on heart disease prevention and the importance of nutrition and exercise. Advocates on issues such as; smoke-free public places, more bike and pedestrian friendly cities and towns, better nutrition and higher quality physical education in schools and affordable healthcare. Improves the quality of care for heart and stroke patients by providing training for medical professionals and educating the public about the warning signs of stroke, and providing resources for stroke survivors and caregivers. Supports heart and stroke research and disseminates medical advances and new treatment guidelines though journals, conferences and online courses.
