County of Lancaster - Lancaster County Prison
Prison provides minimum to maximum security levels. Average length of stay is approximately 70 days. Those committed and sentenced can be held for periods up to 2 years less one day. The prison offers a wide range of opportunities designed to assist those incarcerated in changing their lifestyle to include educational classes and reentry services to assist them in becoming productive members of their communities. Services available to those incarcerated: Prison Physician: 24-hour medical coverage and emergency services through PrimeCare Medical. Prison Psychiatrist: Mental health and crisis counseling through PrimeCare Medical. Drug and Alcohol (D&A) Education: Individual and group D&A education, guest speakers; weekly Narcotics and Alcoholics Anonymous meetings through community volunteers. Anger and stress management classes. Parenting classes. Individual and group spiritual counseling and services through daily clergy visits Reentry Classes
