Pennsylvania Immigrant and Refugee Women's Network
PAIRWN was created to honor and enhance the lives of refugee and immigrant women in Pennsylvania. Our mission is to help refer, advocate, network, educate, and empower these women to live to their fullest potential. We also strive to educate others about our cultures and our contributions to American society. Our annual Diversity Festival allows us to share our rich cultural heritage with the community each December. Through a grant from the City of Harrisburg CDBG funding, we provide Family Advocacy and homework help services to the immigrant & refugee students and families in the Harrisburg School District. We hold monthly Story Circles for all immigrant and refugee women, which offer a chance to network and share stories and food with old and new friends. Our Global Marketplace empowers immigrant & refugee women artisans and cooks to develop their craft and business opportunities, through vendor events and business development workshops.
