Easterseals Eastern Pennsylvania - Eastern PA Administrative Office - LEAP
A comprehensive employment preparation experience for youth with disabilities, ages 16-21, who attend school and are eager to work and earn a paycheck. It combines employment readiness skills with paid work experience to provide participants with the abilities they need to transition more successfully into adulthood. Each week, participants complete 12 hours of paid work experience and 2 hours of curriculum. Sessions run for 10 weeks. Students experience different workplaces for the first five weeks and then choose which site they prefer for the second five weeks.

Eligibility
Students with disabilities, age 16-21, should have an open OVR case in order to enroll, but we will enroll a limited number of students without OVR cases if funding is available.

Creates life-changing solutions for children and adults with physical and cognitive disabilities, autism and other social, sensory and developmental disorders and their families through a variety programs designed to increase independence, maximize opportunities, minimize barriers and enhance quality of life. Provides Early Intervention services for children starting at birth and provides free developmental screenings to ensure early identification of potential delays when it is most critical. Offers summer day camps and overnight camp; weekend respite camp; autism diagnostic clinic; ABA therapy coaching for parents of children with autism; community supports/habilitation for adults; and employment preparation program for high school students.
