Emergency Assistance
As Council funds permit, heat and utilities aid is available and can be provided on a one time basis to any resident family or individual faced with a crisis or tragedy who are unable to make payment. Contact information to secure an application may be accessed from any affiliated church pastor or at Schuylkill Haven Borough Hall. Likewise, pass through travelers incurring an emergency may inquire from the Schuylkill Haven or PA State Police about overnight lodging and food.

Formed over 50 years ago to help serve the residents of the surrounding area. Areas of service include co-sponsoring the Schuylkill Haven Food Pantry with Schuylkill Community Action, emergency food and assistance, a bi-monthly blood drive with the Red Cross, and the Weekender Food Program for Schuylkill Haven Area Elementary Center students with Helping Harvest.
