Licensed by the Department of Public Welfare, program provides an integrated therapeutic and educational program for children and adolescents in grades 6-12.
Children who attend receive quality individual and group therapy services, as well as individualized education programs. In addition, psychiatric services are provided on-site to prevent placement in more restrictive mental health settings. The program accepts referrals from parents, community agencies and medical providers.

Programs and services reflect its mission to provide quality education services that help students learn and support teachers in bringing best practices to the classroom as well as offering valuable services to school districts.The CSIU's primary service area consists of Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties in central Pennsylvania. This area includes 17 school districts, 3 career and technical centers, 69 nonpublic schools, 3,905 district, instructional, administrative and support staff and 36,945 public and nonpublic school students.
