Pennsylvania School for the Deaf - Community Preschool Program for Hearing Children

Preschool age children with hearing difficulties.
Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm.
Enrollment and admission decisions are determined through an application process, play date (visit) and a family interview. Children must have a physical examination and current immunizations before their first day in our program.
Parents pay fees for their hearing child to attend, just as in other private preschool programs.

Provides a play-based program rich in learning, with emphasis on language development and social skills. Committed to family-school partnerships and to working together in developing and sharing all PSD (Pennsylvania School of Deaf) goals for the students. Offer both full-time and part-time programs.

Provides deaf students with meaningful and engaging academic, social, cultural and personal experiences which will enhance their educational development and prepare them for life-long participation in society. Included in these experiences are programs developed in partnership with families and diverse communities which provide the basis for academic achievement, literacy, technological competence, the ability to think critically and creatively and a strong sense of positive self identity.
