Deploys fun, positive, and meaningful activities designed to help children improve their participation in school, leisure, family, and community.
Occupational therapy for children may focus on struggles with completing self-care activities such as brushing teeth and dressing; community participation and social skills; motor skill impairment; sensory issues, such as seeking or avoiding different types of stimulation more than others; Visual perceptual deficits, such as difficulty with mazes and puzzles, or difficulty finding information on a clustered page; handwriting difficulties; feeding; cognitive skills such as attention, memory and problem solving; and/or mental health/mindfulness.
