Requests will be considered for children 12 years of age and younger. Anyone can volunteer. For groups under the age of 12, there needs to be 1 adults for every 3 children.
Volunteers can start to sign up October 13th, 2025 Toy Request Letters are accepted starting November 1st, 2025

To request a toy, a letter must be written to Valley Santa, PO Box 5268, Wilkes-Barre PA 18711. No phone requests accepted. To sign up to volunteer visit intake website or call HelpLine to volunteer. If you need to cancel or reschedule to volunteer please call Help Line (570-829-1341).

Description

Valley Santa is volunteer, nonprofit organization, which tries to ensure that children will receive a toy and book for Christmas. Letters will be read, toy shopped for, and gift wrapped by volunteers. Toy gift will then be delivered to the home address listed on request letter by a private delivery service. Volunteer opportunities for letter reading, toy shopping and gift wrapping for individuals and groups. Up to fifteen volunteers are needed each evening.

Volunteers read request letters for gifts and make shopping lists. Another volunteer group shops for gifts and a third group wraps presents and prepares them for shipping.
