Financial Counseling and Affordable Home Ownership
Offers a financial education program that supports the opportunity for affordable home ownership in the Pittsburgh neighborhoods of Garfield and East Liberty. Participants are supported through the process of credit building, goal setting, budgeting with potential opportunities to purchase an affordable home. The program also includes education on how to maintain and sustain a property once it has been purchased. Using a predominantly volunteer workforce, Open Hand Ministries also purchases and renovates properties for low-medium income families.
