Allegheny County residents who are: A) Pregnant B) Breastfeeding or bottle-feeding C) Recently gave birth to or adopted a baby D) Infants or children up to 5 years of age E) A custodial father, foster parent, or legal guardian of a child up to age 5 Please note, US citizenship is NOT required to get WIC. Administrative Office Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 4:00pm. Call Center Hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 3:30pm. The online application is available 24/7. WIC Clinic hours vary by location. See Site Notes or visit the website for details.

There are four ways to get started with WIC: A) Visit the intake website and complete an online pre-application B) Print out a paper application from the Applications List and take it to your health care provider. There is no fee to enroll in WIC. Participants are required to meet income guidelines of 185% of poverty (or lower) to qualify. People can be adjunctively eligible if they receive Medical Assistance, TANF, or SNAP.
