Application process

CASA is appointed to a child's case by a judge or hearing master in Family Court. Individuals seeking an advocate for a child can ask the child's caseworker through the Westmoreland County Children's Bureau or the child's attorney to complete a referral form.

Children of any age who are engaged in the family court system due to an abuse or neglect situation. For these children, the Westmoreland County Children's Bureau or Juvenile Probation are involved in the case.
