Strengthening Families Program 10-14

Provides an opportunity for families to spend quality time together while learning new skills through games and interactive activities. Parents and youth meet one evening per week for seven weeks to promote family bonding, maintain open communication, and use family strengths to solve problems. Includes dinner and childcare.

Center for Youth and Community Development

Serves as the home of Collaborating for Youth (CFY), the CFY Youth Coalition, la Comunidad, and the Coalition for Overdose Awareness & Recovery (COAR). Facilitates Youth Coalition meetings in each of the county high schools and a county-wide meeting each month. Runs after-school programs in Bermudian Springs Elementary, Dover Elementary/North Salem, Franklin Township Elementary, James Gettys Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, St. Francis Xavier School, Alloway Creek Elementary, Fairfield Elementary, Conewago Valley Intermediate School, Upper Adams Intermediate School, Biglerville Elementary, Conewago Township Elementary, New Oxford Elementary. Offers a Strengthening Families Program in English and Spanish. Provides prevention education, substance-free events, naloxone, Medicine Take Backs, lock boxes, and referrals to treatment and other assistance.
