Designed to promote independence to all the individuals that it services. An opportunity for individuals with intellectual disabilities to become an integrated and active member community in which they reside. Habilitation services may be used in conjunction with other hourly services as long as they do not overlap and depending upon an individual’s available funding. This is a direct service provided in home and community settings to assist individuals in acquiring, maintaining, and improving upon their set goals. This is an outcome based service. All goals will be in the individuals ISP and Habilitation will be tracking the progress of those goals. Services consist of support in the general areas of communication, fine and gross motor skills, mobility, personal skills, appropriate social skills, relationship development, creating natural supports, and use of community resources.
