Community Services For Children - Early Learning Resource Center

Early Learning Resource Centers (ELRCs) in 17 counties in Pennsylvania. ELRC's are the one-stop hub for early education and child care needs. Families can find early education opportunities, apply for assistance (Child Care Works) to help with child care expenses and access other resources. Early Childhood Education programs can receive support for improving the quality of their programs. Keystone STARS is a state-wide initiative to improve and support quality improvement in early learning and school-age care and education through professional development and advocacy.

Community Services For Children

Coordinates Early Head Start programs for low-income pregnant women/families with children, birth - age 3, and Head Start programs for preschool children, age 3-5, in the Lehigh Valley. Provides Early Head Start services in Allentown, Bethlehem and Easton at SafeStart Centers. Provides Head Start services in Allentown and Easton at Pre-K Counts preschool. Administers the Early Learning Resource Center is a one stop hub of information for families with children who may be seeking assistance in finding and paying for high quality early childhood programs or other community resources. The program works with child care providers to increase the quality of their services through the Keystone STARs system. The Early Learning Resource Centers serve 17 counties in Northeast Pennsylvania (Berks, Bradford, Bucks, Carbon, Columbia, Lackawanna, Lehigh, Luzerne, Monroe, Montour, Northampton, Pike, Schuylkill, Sullivan, Susquehanna, Wayne, Wyoming)
