Eligibility

To qualify for the 5(h) Homeownership Program, applicants must meet the following requirements: A) Must be a current PHA single-family scattered site resident B) The head of household or an adult over 18 years of age must be in continuous occupancy for a minimum of one (1) year C) Must be current with rent, utilities (if applicable) and any other required payments

  • Must be in good standing with lease compliance and lease terms for a continuous period of twelve (12) months immediately preceding the application
  • Must be able to demonstrate a stable, household income of at least $10,000 annually and the ability to obtain a mortgage
  • Must participate in a pre-and post purchase-counseling program
  • Must be able to demonstrate minimum affordability of your unit's appraised value
