Applicants must be residents of Lackawanna County for at least 6 months; women must be experiencing homelessness without substantial resources and for reasons other than domestic violence, drug and alcohol free, physically and emotionally able to care for their children, and willing to assist with household tasks and cooperate in a shared living situation.
Monday through Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

Description

Provides a thirty-day residence for parents and guardians with children 18 and under experiencing homelessness in Lackawanna County. Services include: shelter, case management, transportation, linkages to community resources, medical assessment, and health service referrals, and life skills through a trauma informed lens.

A non-profit, charitable organization, run entirely by volunteers. Provides for basic needs with food, clothing, emergency assistance, household items, and furniture. In addition, hosts events that bring hope and brighten up the holidays. Serves a wide range of people through senior holiday dinners to children's after school programs and field trips. Serves those experiencing homelessness in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties.
