Lancaster County Project For The Needy - Christmas Food Basket Delivery
Formed in 1986, this all volunteer group raises money and collects food to distribute to needy families. The food is given out on a first-come, first-serve basis. Groceries given to each individual or family are equivalent to two grocery bags and include items such as a 10-12 pound turkey, eggs, milk, bread, potatoes, frozen vegetables and fruit. Monetary donations are welcome and are used to defray the costs of purchasing the groceries. The cost to feed one family is generally about $30.00. Application process
Registrations open November 25, 2024 to December 13, 2024 or until full. No registrations will be accepted November 28 or 29. Call 211 Monday through Friday between 8:00am to 5:00pm to sign up for delivery or for referral information for other providers; Apply online, limited to the first 400 registrants. Registration is completed by 211 East staff only
