Offers intra-nasal Naloxone (Narcan) kits to prevent severe consequences of opioid overdose. Additional harm reductions supplies such as fentanyl and xylazine test strips are also distributed by the Health Department's Overdose Prevention Program. The Overdose Prevention Program also promotes access to treatment for individuals with substance use disorder. Naloxone is available without a prescription from many pharmacies in Allegheny County.
