WOAR - Philadelphia Center Against Sexual Violence - Graduate Internship Opportunities
WOAR offers internships to graduate students in Psychology or Social Work programs. A graduate intern will receive extensive training on sexual assault, treatment issues, working with children, working with adults, and responding to crisis situations. This training occurs in September and is required. The responsibilities of an intern are to: -Provide individual counseling to adults and children who have been sexually assaulted -Co-facilitate support groups -Answer the hotline and provide medical accompaniment -Complete all necessary paperwork All interns are given individual weekly supervision by the Director of Counseling Services.
