Provides individualized financial education and coaching to help individuals and families build financial knowledge, improve money management skills, and work toward long-term financial stability.
Services may include:
• Budgeting and Money Management: Learn practical strategies for creating a budget, tracking expenses, reducing debt, and setting achievable financial goals.
• Credit Education and Improvement: Receive guidance on understanding credit reports and scores, addressing credit issues, and building or improving credit.
• Identity Theft Prevention: Learn how to protect personal information, recognize common scams, and reduce the risk of identity theft.
• Youth Financial Education: Age-appropriate financial literacy activities that introduce children and teens to basic money management concepts.
• Housing-Related Financial Counseling: Assistance with budgeting for housing expenses, including rent, utilities, mortgage payments, and other household costs.
• Financial Goal Planning: One-on-one coaching to develop personalized action plans that support financial self-sufficiency and long-term success.
Services are available in person or virtually through Zoom.

SCA offers a wide range of programs and services, including housing counseling, home repair and weatherization assistance, food distribution through the Schuylkill Food Network, financial literacy education, and case management. By connecting people with resources, education, and advocacy, SCA works to strengthen communities and help residents achieve long-term stability and independence.
