Description
A comprehensive daily preschool program for low-income children ages birth through five year olds who live in Northumberland County. It provides children with a developmentally appropriate early childhood education. Parental involvement is also required; parents work in partnership with staff to promote the education of their children. Services are avaiable in Line Mountain, Milton, Mt. Carmel, Shamokin, Shikellamy, and Warrior Run school districts.

Programs and services reflect its mission to provide quality education services that help students learn and support teachers in bringing best practices to the classroom as well as offering valuable services to school districts.The CSIU's primary service area consists of Columbia, Montour, Northumberland, Snyder and Union counties in central Pennsylvania. This area includes 17 school districts, 3 career and technical centers, 69 nonpublic schools, 3,905 district, instructional, administrative and support staff and 36,945 public and nonpublic school students.
