Eligibility

Working or in school full-time. Single (not co-living with significant other/childs other parent). Female who has legal custody and the child/ren live with her at least 50% of the time. This could be a grandmother, adoptive mom, biological, aunt, etc. Foster (temporary) custody is not included. Residents of Lackawanna, Luzerne, Monroe, Wayne, Wyoming, Pike and Susquehanna counties.

Provides single mothers who work or are in school full time with access to a network of resources, mentorship programs, and community engagement opportunities to improve their quality of life, addressing both financial and emotional challenges they might face. Provides monthly in person events for networking social, and personal growth, annual Christmas gift drive, text service providing daily check-in and encouragment messages, family focused activies such as summer family fun day, regional community resource event. Case management to connect and access to resources. AASMP has a membership opportunity called Rise & Thrive Sisterhood for working single moms who want to have access to a higher level of support such as exclusive programs for personal and family growth, fun family social activities, material support to provide critical needs such as groceries, transportation/fuel, and mental health care for the months the unexpected happens.

We provide support to families in Luzerne, Lackawanna, Wyoming, Susquehanna, Wayne, Pike andMonroe Counties.
