Eligibility
Children's eligibility: * Age 18 months to 21 years old * A diagnosis of
autism spectrum disorde * A valid PA Access/HealthChoices card * A
five axial DSM-IV-R diagnosis * An interdisciplinary team
recommendation and treatment plan for services * Appropriate clients
may: 8 Have a mental health disorder that interferes with
age-appropriate functioning in a home setting * Need services to
prevent hospitalization or placement in a residential setting * Need
services to support a transition from a more restrictive to a
community-based setting

BHRS provides clinical, child-centered, family-focused care for children with an autism spectrum disorder diagnosis. Services for children and their families assist them in developing new skills and coping mechanisms. Services are provided on a one-to-one basis by culturally competent staff either in the child's home, school, daycare center or community.
