Property and Taxes Office, York County Government - Conservation District

Provides conservation education, technical services, and financial assistance to support stewardship of natural resources in York County. Coordinates soil and water resource management, farm conservation planning, erosion control plan review, and National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) permits. Offers environmental education, nutrient management (farm) planning, watershed conservation, and a clearinghouse for questions concerning the environment. Administers programs including dirt and gravel road improvement, annual spring seedling sales, the York County Envirothon, a scholarship ($500) for county residents pursuing studies in natural resources or agriculture at a 4-year institution, TreeVitalize municipal tree planting grants, and floodplain monitoring assistance for municipalities.
