Family Centers, located at Jefferson and Central Elementary Schools, coordinate and facilitate a variety of support services for Allentown School District families. Family Centers seek to ensure the healthy growth and development of children by coordinating a wide variety of support services for families in the communities in which they live. These services include:
  • Parent Support and Child Development Education
  • Pediatric Health Services
  • Healthy After-School and Summer Activities
  • Family Preservation Services
  • Education and Employment-Related Services
Family Development Specialist certified in parent education home visits meet groups of parent sand provide assessments and support to parents for their children from pregnancy through kindergarten.
