Personal Adjustment to Blindness Training

Provides individuals with the skills needed to remain independent in the community. This training focuses on activities of daily living (cooking, cleaning, managing your clothing, etc.), personal and interpersonal communication skills (money management, writing, maintaining your bills, etc.) along with orientation and mobility training.

Eligibility

Visual Requirements (must have at least one): A) Visual acuity of 20/70 or poorer in better-seeing eye that cannot be corrected or improved with regular eyeglasses B) Corresponding loss of visual fields C) Progressive sight threatening eye diseases, such as diabetes D) Diagnosis of a degenerative eye or sight disorder E) 18 or older
