Develops the positive potential of youth within safe, supportive families and communities with a specific focus on Spanish and LatinX communities.

Providing organization

Center for Youth and Community Development
Serves as the home of Collaborating for Youth (CFY), the CFY Youth Coalition, la Comunidad, and the Coalition for Overdose Awareness & Recovery (COAR). Facilitates Youth Coalition meetings at each county high school and a county-wide meeting each month. Runs after-school programs in Bermudian Springs Elementary, Dover Elementary/North Salem, Franklin Township Elementary, James Gettys Elementary, Lincoln Elementary, Alloway Creek Elementary, Fairfield Elementary, Conewago Valley Intermediate School, Upper Adams Intermediate School, Biglerville Elementary, Conewago Township Elementary, and New Oxford Elementary. Offers a Strengthening Families Program in English and Spanish. Provides prevention education, substance-free events, naloxone, Medicine Take Backs, lock boxes, and referrals to treatment and other assistance.
