Performs the following services and maintains these facilities: - Recycling: LCSWMA assists municipalities, businesses and other institutions with starting and maintaining their recycling programs. LCSWMA’s three Lancaster facilities have 24/7 recycling drop-off areas for the following materials: glass bottles and jars, aluminum and steel cans, plastic bottles, and newspapers (including office paper and magazines). The Transfer Station Complex also accepts cardboard. - Transfer Station Complex: Located on Harrisburg Pike in Lancaster. A central location for the transfer of trash for end disposal (waste-to-energy facility or landfill). Accessible to commercial haulers and residents.
