Accepts new and used items such as appliances, furniture, bathroom fixtures, and paint donated by builders, local suppliers, manufacturers and individuals. Provides affordable materials for home furnishing and repair. Habitat for Humanity of Chester County builds and sells newly constructed homes to qualified families and individuals who live or work in Chester County and meet the program qualifications. Our home buyers purchase their homes with affordable mortgages and pay taxes on the full value of their homes. We also operate ReStores that sell gently used goods to generate funding to build more homes that are affordable. Through these programs, we help our neighbors build strength, stability, and independence through homeownership. Please note: The Habitat ReStores sells donated building materials, appliances, and home furnishings to the public at discounted prices to fund our housing mission. The ReStores do not provide free furniture, furniture vouchers, or emergency material goods assistance.

Habitat for Humanity of Chester County (HfHCC) brings people together to build homes, communities and hope." HfHCCs program serves those who would not be able to afford a mortgage by conventional means. Each home is sold to a low-income family using an HfHCC no-interest 30-year mortgage for the full purchase price of the home. Habitat homeowners are carefully selected based upon three criteria: the need for decent, affordable housing, the ability to repay the mortgage loan, and the willingness to partner with Habitat by participating in our sweat equity program. We require 200 to 400 hours of sweat equity from our applicant families as part of their eligibility for Habitat homeownership.
