TB investigation and treatment services ensure that affected individuals are provided testing and necessary treatment to prevent and control TB in the community. Follow-up testing and education are important parts of this program.

Main activities are to monitor the health status of the population; identify and eliminate preventable illness and accidents; reduce the severity of illness and disability; promote healthy behaviors; improve health care quality, access and accountability; and lead the development of health policy and planning.
