Serves as a Reform Jewish home in York, PA, with a proud history dating back more than 140 years, and has Rabbi Melody Davis leading the egalitarian services and the congregation. Offers Religious School, Adult Education, Torah Study, B’Nai Mitzvah, numerous activity groups, like Walking Club, Canasta, Mahjong, and more. Temple Beth Israel is committed to social action within the Jewish and York community. Tikkun Olam is an essential activity in Reform Judaism. Provides meals to our congregants who are ill, as well as to local soup kitchens. Holds monthly collection drives for local non-profits such as Coats of Friendship and Pappus House.
