Seniors Eyecare Program (SEP)

- Provides a comprehensive medical eye exam and care for any condition diagnosed at the initial exam for up to one year at no out-of-pocket cost to those who qualify through its corps of more than 5,000 volunteer ophthalmologist nationwide. - Raise awareness about eye disease and health including cataracts, glaucoma, age-related macular degeneration and diabetic eye disease Excludes eyeglasses, prescription drugs, hospital services and fees of other medical professionals.

Uninsured: Free; Accepts Medicare and/or other supplemental insurance as payment in full waiving co-pays.

Eligibility

U.S. citizens or legal residents ages 65 years and older who have not seen an ophthalmologist in 3 years or more; Callers may not belong to a HMO or receive eye care benefits through the VA
