Provides safe, decent, single room occupancy at reduced rent for 13 single low-income, self-sufficient women. Supportive services include linkages to community resources and case management.
Friends of the Poor and Catherine McAuley Center
A non-profit, charitable organization, run entirely by volunteers. Provides for basic needs with food, clothing, emergency assistance, household items, and furniture. In addition, hosts events that bring hope and brighten up the holidays. Serves a wide range of people through senior holiday dinners to children's after school programs and field trips. Serves those experiencing homelessness in Lackawanna and Luzerne Counties.
