Berks Counseling Center - Transitional and Permanent Housing Program

Eligibility

Must be a BCC Client Transitional housing: Women with children or who are expecting, with drug/alcohol or mental health disabilities. Permanent housing: Homeless individuals with drug/alcohol or mental health disabilities; Must be willing to engage in treatment. Chronically homeless and referred by the Berks Coalition Coordinated Entry.

Hours

Monday through Thursday, 8:00am to 8:00pm Friday and Saturday, 8:00am to 4:00pm (Admissions Monday through Friday only)

Application process

Referral must come from Coordinated Entry through Berks Coalition. Telephone, call to schedule an intake interview for transitional housing

Fees

Guest fees are paid in transitional housing. Rent needed for permanent housing. Fees are based on 30% of adjusted income

A PA Integrated Community Wellness Center and a Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic, offering comprehensive, evidence-based outpatient mental health and drug and alcohol treatment. They serve children, adolescents, and adults with services including psychiatry, counseling, peer support, physical health, and case management. Both telehealth and in-person options are available, and bilingual staff are on hand.
