Provides funding for those living in Cumberland County who are at risk of becoming homeless. Offers homeless prevention that assists those who have housing right now but who may become homeless soon because they lost income or had another eligible emergency that prevents them from paying rent. Assistance may include the following: Payment of rent arrears to prevent eviction; Utility shut-offs; Security deposits for housing; First month's rent for housing; Assistance covering the cost of housing applications; Pay for transportation to a confirmed location with support to avoid street homelessness; and Assistance with bedding and toiletry supplies if experiencing homelessness.

Provides temporary housing for homeless families in a boarding house type environment. A case manager works with each family to create an action plan to obtain permanent housing upon leaving the program in a four-month time frame.

Offers program to help create stable homes and break the cycle of poverty through budget coaching, job training, financial assistance, and whole-family support. Advocates have a presence at the school district building in the Student Right's department and in these schools: Anderson Elementary, Gideon Elementary, George Washington High School, Hamilton Elementary, Kenderton Elementary, Lamberton Elementary, Lea Elementary, Locke Elementary, Munoz-Marin Elementary, and Webster Elementary.

Assists individuals and families with securing and/or keeping stable, permanent housing. Services include homeless prevention, housing case management, emergency shelter in select circumstances. Also has a small food pantry (can serve anyone but focuses on items appropriate for homeless individuals).

Collects food and holiday donations to be distributed to veterans who may be hospitalized, transitioning, or experiencing homelessness.

Provides services to assist persons with accessing and remaining in permanent affordable housing. Access to emergency housing is provided if needed.

Federal Veterans Benefits applied for through this office include health care, service connected compensation, pension assistance for disabled unemployable veterans and counseling for surviving family members and returning veterans.

Services include homelessness prevention, help to regain housing stability; Street Outreach to connect unsheltered homeless individuals or families with emergency shelter, critical health and mental health services; and Rapid Rehousing for quick return to permanent housing. May also help with your security deposit and/or rent.

Services for individuals with Opioid Use Disorder (OUD); designed to connect these individuals to safe, stable and permenant housing. Contact your Drug Treatment Program Specialist/Provider for information and access to program referral. Treatment specialists are familiar with program protocol.
