Adult Residential Treatment Facilities
The Community Living Arrangements Program (CLA or group homes) were St. Joseph's first attempt at an alternative to large congregate living for individuals with special needs. The 12 CLAs offer persons who are diagnosed with Intellectual Disability and often physically challenged the opportunity to live and learn with their peers in a real home environment. Staff provide a stable and supportive atmosphere for the three to six individuals living in each home.

Matches adults who cannot live alone (because of age-related problems, or physical or developmental disabilities) with families who are willing to provide a supportive, family-like living arrangement for them. Dom Care providers care for no more than three people, and undergo a thorough vetting process. Also recruits and screens potential providers.

Provides assistance with eating, bathing, shaving and other activities of daily living which do not require constant nursing care. The nursing unit provides 24-hour care, seven days a week. Residents receive a complete range of clinical services under the direction of physicians, nurses and other licensed health care professionals. The 32-bed Dementia/Alzheimer's unit provides veterans suffering from dementia or Alzheimer's disease with long-term care in a safe and secure environment.
