There are multiple apartments available in the City of Pottsville. There are both one bedroom apartments and two bedroom apartments. A screening committee recommends appropriate applicants to landlords. Landlords make the final decision. Professional supports are available. Tenants may remain in apartments as long as they choose provided there are no lease violations.

Adult Day Programs - Day programs are created to meet each individual’s needs and skill set. Both licensed and unlicensed day programs are held in a safe and caring environment with a team of human service professionals. Adult Residential Programs - Support is provided to individuals in community homes or life sharing with a host family. Each individual is evaluated to determine which living environment will work best for them depending on their needs, wants, and goals. A non-profit Continuing Care Retirement Community

Offers a range of housing options, from independent to round-the-clock staff supervision. Residents receive supports and services based on their individual levels of need. Levels of support vary from below 30 hours per week to around-the-clock assistance.

Provides adults with intellectual disabilities, autism, and behavioral health challenges the opportunity to live as independently as possible in homes with 24/7 support or a more independent living arrangement. Options include community group homes, licensed Lifesharing or unlicensed Lifesharing.

The Community Living Arrangements Program (CLA or group homes) were St. Joseph's first attempt at an alternative to large congregate living for individuals with special needs. The 12 CLAs offer persons who are diagnosed with Intellectual Disability and often physically challenged the opportunity to live and learn with their peers in a real home environment. Staff provide a stable and supportive atmosphere for the three to six individuals living in each home.

Licensed programs provide one or two people the opportunity to live with a host family in a private home. The host family provides food, shelter, and personal care while supporting the individual to become a family member. The individual and his or her host family receive continuous assistance from Family Services in areas such as life sharing, being a family member, personal growth, and community integration.

Home and Community Services and Residential services in community homes. These settings are licensed residential facilities providing a home environment to encourage individuals to develop skills as on on-going process aimed at areas such as: Daily living activities, recreation, communication, socialization, health, safety, well-being, financial independence, and personal adjustment.
